Our Amyl upright window Piano has always been a project in mind since we opened, it was kindly shared to us for safe keeping and new lease of life by the wonderful Sam Morris Artist.
It’s always been pride of place in our shop window but very rarely played.
The wonderful talented Cole Stacey played it in store few weeks ago sounded great but definitely needing some care.
The piano was made between 1905 and 1930 by Co-
operative Wholesale Society.
It is one of 1500 made for uk market.
We were unsure of internal condition of the main piano so requested the services Robin Freeland to investigate
last week.
The good news he thinks it’s in a condition to fully tune as the main board seems in great condition.
The project continues once tuned in the next week…
